mise ene scene video recreation feedback and learner response

1) Type up your feedback from your teacher in full.

WWW: Good planning, Courier script, Good performance and accents, good framing, good camerawork, mise en scene

EBI: Remove background noise

2) Type up a summary of the feedback you have had from the rest of the class - bullet points is fine.

The acting was good. Good props. Accurate camera angles and shots.

3) Use all the feedback you've been given to write your own self-assessment of your video using WWW (What Went Well) and EBI (Even Better If...)

I think that our costumes were very accurate. Our script was almost identical and our camera angles and shots were very accurate. We could have improved the audio quality by removing background noise.

4) Now reflect on your own work in more detail. How did your planning (script, shot list) help clarify and develop your ideas?

Before shooting, i made a shot list, i analysed the original clip and wrote down each scene and a brief summary of the contents. Our script helped us to accurately imitate the characters and create an almost perfect recreation.

5) Thinking technically, how could you improve your work for future videos? (E.g. filming, editing, audio levels etc.)

We could remove background noise so the scenes flow smoothly.

6) Finally, what have you learned regarding the importance of mise-en-scene in film and television? Write a paragraph to answer this.

I’ve learned that mise en scene is vital for the audience as it helps them interpret what’s happening in film and tv scenes. Producers use mise en scene to convey ideas and information in tv. Aspects such as make up, hair and costume can reveal a lot about characters as it shows how they want to present themselves and in term the audience form opinions about the characters.
